Ferrite Magnets (Fe2O3)

Ferrite or ceramic magnets are a type of permanent magnet made from a composite of iron oxide (Fe2O3) and one or more additional metallic elements, typically barium (Ba) or strontium (Sr) carbonates. These magnets belong to the category of hard ferrites and are characterized by their good resistance to demagnetization, excellent corrosion resistance, and affordability. Ferrite Magnets, easily identified by their dark graphite colour, are a type of permanent magnet made of the chemical compound ferrite. Consisting of about 90% iron oxide and 10% strontium carbonate, the materials that make up this magnet are abundant and economically available. Ferrite magnets are the cheapest magnets. Widely employed in conveyor systems, switches, speakers, and crafts, Ferrite Magnets exhibit resistance to demagnetisation, making them a preferred magnet choice across various industries and applications.
